The search efforts by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Trafficking and Child Exploitation (TRACE) and Gang Units led to the safe recovery of the girl who was then taken into the care of the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services. The mother of the girl was eventually able to reunite with her daughter.

In addition to the law enforcement agencies, Mosaic Georgia, a nonprofit organization that provides support to victims of sexual violence, was also involved in the effort to locate the teen.
