On a recent patrol, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office apprehended 18-year-old Victor Cruz on charges of reckless driving and unlawfully carrying a weapon. According to the constable's Facebook post, they spotted Cruz speeding and dangerously maneuvering a vehicle through traffic on Jones Road, hitting speeds over eighty-nine miles an hour.

A traffic stop was initiated after observing the reckless behavior, endangering the safety of others on the road. Upon identifying Cruz, the deputies discovered a loaded firearm in his possession. Despite the apparent severity of the situation, his bond was set relatively low, at $200, out of County Court 13.

"Victor Cruz was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Reckless Driving and Unlawful Carry of Weapon," Constable Mark Herman stated.
