
In recent law enforcement activity, on July 3, 2024, Harris County Constable deputies pulled over a vehicle on Percheron Trail, leading to the apprehension of a wanted felon and another individual for obstructing justice. The driver, Keon Edwards, was identified at the scene and found to have outstanding warrants for Aggravated Robbery and Assault. Constable Mark Herman's Office reported that Edwards fled the initial traffic stop, running into a nearby residence.
With the perimeter established by the police, deputies made contact with a residence on Friesian Trail, where Jahiem Tolbert was encountered and subsequently accused of helping Edwards evade capture. Running into the residence, when Edwards was found, he was discovered armed with a loaded handgun and also in possession of marijuana. Both the suspects were taken into custody and transported to Harris's County Jail.
"Both suspects were arrested was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Keon Edwards was arrested for the open warrants and charged with Evading Arrest and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. His bond was set at $50,200.00 out of the 180th District Court and County Court 1. Jahiem Tolbert was charged with Hindering Apprehension. His bond was set at $10,000.00 out of the 180th District Court," detailed a statement obtained by Constable Mark Herman.
