Earlier this month, Constable Mark Herman's Office was put to the test after deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle. Deputies were dispatched on July 10 to the 24100 block of Old Aldine Westfield Road, where they started the search for a vehicle reported stolen by an unknown suspect. The investigation kicked into gear and it wasn't long before the deputies got a break in the case.

The stolen vehicle came to a head in the 300 block of Bammel Westfield Road. Constable Deputies managed to locate the missing vehicle and didn't hesitate to conduct a traffic stop to quickly apprehend the driver. The man behind the wheel was identified as Aaron Hughes. With the evidence against him, Hughes was arrested and charged.

According to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman, "Aaron Hughes was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. His bond was set at $2,500.00 out of the 263rd District Court."
