
In a tragic unfolding at 505 Cypress Station, Merseana Struggs, aged 29, was fatally shot in what authorities are presuming to be a domestic violence incident. The Harris County Sheriff's Office has declared Struggs dead at the scene. The suspect, Nicholas F. Finley, who is believed to have been the victim's boyfriend, has been apprehended and charged with Capital Murder.
The initial call that brought the deputies to the scene was detailed in a post from HCSO Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, which described the incident as a shooting possibly related to domestic violence. Eyewitness reports indicate that Struggs made a desperate attempt to escape, trying to enter a bystander's vehicle before collapsing. It was at this point that, Finley allegedly stood over her and, fired multiple shots into her body.

Following the shooting, it was reported that Finley was on the run with the victim's purse and her vehicle. However, the rapid response of the authorities led to his capture. Finley's charges include Capital Murder and he is currently being held in the Harris County Jail. The Sheriff's office has not disclosed any further information regarding the motive or the circumstances leading up to the fatal shooting, outside of what was shared in the official statement.
