Reports of the incident began coming in at approximately 1:24 p.m., prompting a complete shutdown of the highway's southbound lanes. By 2:40 p.m., CBS News San Francisco reported that one lane had reopened, with traffic being diverted to Coyote Creek Golf Road, while emergency crews managed the situation. Both reports confirm that all lanes were reopened by around 4 p.m., although the reopening was briefly later than initially announced.
