Crime Stoppers of Houston together with the Houston Police Department, are requesting the public's help in a case that has been haunting the city since 2020. A press conference was held earlier today, bringing renewed focus on the unsolved murder of Brittany Guidry. As reported by Click2Houston, a reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information leading to the capture and conviction of Guidry's killer.
It was the middle of the day, April 22, 2020, when tragedy struck in the 7400 block of Calhoun Rd. Brittany Guidry and another individual were in a parked vehicle outside a convenience store, when an unidentified man approached and fired multiple shots. Guidry suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, the other victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. The assailant managed to escape, eluding capture, and remains at large.
Details on the suspect have been scarce since the incident. However, during the press conference, authorities described the suspect as a black male, approximately 25 years old, with a dark complexion, braids, tattoos on his arms, and he was noted to have been wearing a red bandana on his neck. FOX26 Houston reported that multiple individuals were present at the time of the shooting, yet potential witnesses have not come forward.
