A theft incident escalating to a hunt for a suspect unfolded at the Houston Premium Outlet Mall, following an incident on June 18. According to Constable Mark Herman's Office, deputies were dispatched to the mall situated at the 29000 block of the Northwest Freeway after receiving a theft report. The suspect, identified as Twiana Washington, allegedly scooped up merchandise worth more than $3,285 from the Lacoste store and left without paying. Store loss prevention staff reported that the goods were smuggled out past the point of purchase concealed on her person or associated carry items.
The response by Constable Mark Herman’s deputies led to a comprehensive sweep of the evidence. Surveillance footage and witnesses interviews conducted by deputies were instrumental in naming Washington as a suspect, as cited in a Facebook post from the Precinct. With an extensive criminal record and current standing as a convicted felon, Washington is being actively sought by local law enforcement on a charge of Felony Theft.
"Twiana Washington is currently wanted by law enforcement for Felony Theft. If you have information regarding her whereabouts, you are urged to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement," Constable Mark Herman was quoted, signaling the seriousness with which authorities are taking the pursuit. The public appeal forms a critical net in the search, broadening the sight lines beyond the typical enforcement purviews.
