Authorities in Houston are extending a call to the public to assist in identifying five men linked to the shooting death of Alberto Posada, who was gunned down in the early hours of June 9. These men, described as black males in their twenties, are believed to be crucial to the investigation following the fatal incident that took place at 9700 Homestead Road, Houston. The Houston Police Department has released surveillance images of the men and a white 2011-2012 Mazda CX-9 SUV believed to be connected to the case. These images can be found attached to the news release on the city's website.
The tragic unraveling began around 1:10 a.m. when an apparent verbal altercation at a gas station spiraled into road rage, ultimately leading to a chase that culminated in gunshots fired at Mr. Posada's vehicle as he reached Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, according to a Houston Police Department statement. Despite being rushed to another hospital, 25-year-old Posada was pronounced dead on June 11 due to gunshot wounds sustained during the attack.
Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen from the HPD Homicide Division are leading the ongoing investigation.
