A routine traffic stop in a Houston suburb turned into a significant recovery operation when deputies located a stolen vehicle. On July 24, Harris County Constable's Office deputies were alerted to the stolen car via a Flock safety system hit, while it cruised the roads near the 14000 block of Louetta Road, according to a Facebook post by Precinct 4.
The suspect, identified as Kentrell Bay, was detained after deputies carried out the traffic stop, during the ensuing investigation, it was confirmed that not only was the car reported stolen to the Houston Police Department but also that Bay was armed with a loaded firearm at the time of arrest, which led to swift legal action. “Kentrell Bay was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 2,” said Constable Mark Herman in the Facebook announcement.
As the case progresses, further details about the initial theft and Bay's background will likely come to light, potentially shedding new light on the situation and assisting law enforcement in preventing future incidents. Meanwhile, Bay awaits the legal process after having his bond set, the Harris County Jail records indicate that he is still in custody.
