A man has found himself in custody following a reckless dirt bike run. Yesterday, as reported on Constable Mark Herman's Office Facebook page, a deputy spotted the individual tearing through the 1000 block of FM 1960 Road. The deputy attempted to halt this erratic display but was met with defiance as the biker opted instead to kick up dirt and escalate the situation into a pursuit.
The chase didn't span an extensive duration, as the alleged perpetrator, identified as Alexander Sibaja, ultimately sabotaged his own escape by coming to get unintentionally wedged in the mud. His efforts to evade law enforcement effectively grounded, Sibaja was detained without further incident. According to the Constable's Facebook post, "Alexander Sibaja was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading in a Motor Vehicle. He is awaiting bond out of the 482nd District Court."
Details on Sibaja's motives, or lack thereof, weren't disclosed, nor were any statements from Sibaja or his representation at the time of reporting.
