
Following the chaos left by Hurricane Beryl, a 25-year-old Houston resident, Calvin Jacobe Theus, has been charged with felony burglary. As reported by the Houston Police Department. Theus was apprehended after allegedly breaking into a business at 7555 Long Point Rd. around 5 a.m. on Saturday.
The Houston Police Department highlighted that their Northwest officers were quick to act, leading to the swift recovery of all stolen goods; this included the cash register that had been taken from the premises, officers also had to chase down Theus on foot to bring him into custody.
Officers were alerted to the incident at the Long Point business early yesterday morning and were able to capture Theus after he tried to run, a statement from the Houston Police corroborated.
