
Houston authorities are currently investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a man yesterday afternoon. Houston police were called to the scene at 4712 Lockwood Drive around 4:25 p.m. where they found an unresponsive male with multiple gunshot wounds. According to a statement obtained by the City of Houston, the man was discovered next to a Metro bus stop and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The victim's name has not been released as it is pending confirmation from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Detectives A. Herrera and M. Providence from HPD Homicide Division were reported by the City of Houston to have found that the victim had been in an altercation prior to the shooting with an unknown suspect described as a black male. During the incident, it's alleged that the suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim multiple times before fleeing in an undetermined direction.
At this time, no arrests have been made and authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information.
