
Houston police are currently investigating a shooting incident after discovering a deceased man yesterday morning on Woodfair Drive. The man, aged 26 whose identity remains unconfirmed, was found at approximately 7:45 a.m. at an apartment complex located at 9450 Woodfair Drive pronounced dead by the Houston Fire Department paramedics, he was discovered with a gunshot wound in a storage closet of the complex, as City of Houston News reported.
HPD Homicide Division's Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp were among the first on the scene following a call to HPD patrol officers about an unresponsive body, the officers arrived to find the victim with no signs of life and apparent trauma inflicted by a firearm, meanwhile witnesses claim the man had left an apartment in that complex around 5 a.m., and, curiously, no sounds of a struggle or gunshots were reported prior to the grim discovery of his body. The Houston Police Department has not established a motive or identified any suspects at this juncture.
As investigations continue to unfold, Houston authorities are reaching out to the public for assistance.
