The Houston Police Department is actively searching for a man who committed a robbery using bodily force at a local convenience store. In the early hours of Monday, June 3, an unknown male reportedly broke into a store located at the 3800 block of Old Spanish Trail. The suspect is said to have launched various items at the clerk while falsely claiming possession of a firearm, as reported by the Houston Police Robbery Division.
During the incident, which took place around 3:45 a.m., the store's surveillance captured the suspect throwing a glass fragrance bottle, striking the clerk in the head. After assaulting the clerk, he forcibly took cash from the register and a selection of other items before fleeing the scene to an undetermined location. The man has been described as a thin black male, with short hair and clad in a white muscle shirt and camo shorts.
Houston PD is appeal to anyone who might have information regarding this crime, emphasizing that details leading to the arrest and/or charging of the suspect may be rewarded with up to $5,000.
