An Inkster man stands accused of second-degree murder following a dispute in Romulus that resulted in gunfire and death. Christopher Demitrius Peterson, 24, was arraigned this past Monday on charges involving the fatal shooting of 49-year-old Dante Carey, as CBS News Detroit reported. The incident took place late in the evening on July 4, about 10:17 p.m., when an argument between Peterson and Carey escalated on Jamestown Street in Romulus. According to FOX 2 Detroit, Peterson is said to have drawn a firearm during the altercation, and Carey was subsequently found with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite prompt medical attention, Carey succumbed to his injuries. Peterson, now facing both second-degree murder and felony firearm charges, was given a $250,000 cash bond.
