A routine traffic stop yesterday accelerated to an arrest when a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office pulled over Jaime Barron in the 20900 block of Roxette Court. According to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman, the investigation subsequent to the stop found Barron in possession of a controlled substance and a firearm.
Described as a matter of protocol, the deputy conducted a search only to uncover the items of an illicit nature. Found in Barron's possession, the officer discovered he was indeed carrying what have been deemed unlawful items. "Jaime Barron was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance," the Constable reported.
As procedure requires, Barron was detained, and the legal process has been set in motion. At the moment of reporting, bond and court dates had firmed up, but the specifics were not disclosed.
