The Planning & Zoning Commission is slated to deliberate on two significant requests on Tuesday, August 13th, at 7 p.m. These hearings will be open for public input and could decisively influence local development.
The first case on the docket involves a proposed zoning amendment at 2257 Florence Road. Developer Curt Dubose, representing Pentavia Custom Homes, hopes to transform this 2.79-acre plot from its current zoning designation of Single-Family Residential with 36,000 square-foot lots (SF-36) to a denser zoning category that allows for 25,000 square-foot lots (SF-25). According to the City of Keller, the lot is positioned at a strategic northeast corner at the intersection of Florence Road and Judge Bland Road. The Roanoke Christian Center stands as the property's current owner.
Moving to the city's bustling corridors, the second hearing will scrutinize a request for a Specific Use Permit (SUP) filed by The Casas Group. This bid aims to permit the operation of a WellMed primary care medical clinic within a roughly 7,000-square-foot building located in Keller Town Center. Nestled on 1.25 acres south of Keller Parkway and just a stone's throw from Town Center Lane, the site's future could soon see a significant pivot in utility and service offerings to the community.
