The Lake County Sheriff's Office is currently on the hunt for a suspect following an armed robbery at a Walgreens pharmacy on Monday morning in Clermont. According to WESH, deputies were dispatched to the scene at the Walgreens situated on 1600 US Highway 27 around 8:55 am, after reports surfaced about a man intimidating employees with a handgun.
Surveillance footage reviewed by the deputies showed a white male, described as balding with red hair and a beard, menacingly brandishing the gun in the pharmacy section. Clad in a gray shirt and black shorts, sporting tattoos on one arm, he managed to escape with an assortment of prescription pills. Confirming the suspect's description and actions, FOX 35 Orlando added details about the suspect's apparel and physical features.
While the suspect promptly fled the store without a determined direction, it is fortunate that the incident resulted in no physical injuries. The Lake County Sheriff's Office has put out a call for any information related to the identity and whereabouts of the suspect.
