Residents of League City have the opportunity to engage with civic leaders during the upcoming City Council meeting scheduled for 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 23. According to a recent announcement made by the City, there will also be a Budget Workshop held at 5 p.m. before the council meeting. For those unable to attend in person, the session will be available for live viewing on the City's Facebook page, and replays are set to air daily on Channel 16 at both 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
The council meeting, which is part of a regularly scheduled bi-monthly event, takes place at the Council Chambers located in the City's Municipal Complex at 200 W. Walker St. Residents wishing to make their voices heard can sign up for Public Comment prior to the meeting, with the sign-up sheet being placed outside the council chambers and brought inside once the meeting begins. Speaking to the council requires residents to state their full name and home address, as stated in the information provided by the City's alert.
During the Citizens Request For Hearing Before City Council, the public comment portion gives local residents the chance to directly address their concerns. League City officials have emphasized the importance of this section, offering a platform for citizens to engage with their government representative, fostering community involvement and transparency in the municipal process.
