Law enforcement responded to the distressing scene located in the 2200 block of Aitkin Loop at around 2:30 p.m. following reports of the shooting, according to ClickOrlando.
The victim was quick to be taken to the hospital after officers arrived but later succumbed to his injuries despite the swift response. Leesburg police have started to thoroughly canvass the neighborhood with hopes of unearthing leads or suspects, as noted in the initial press release.
