The victim was found injured in the 8300 block of Broadway, where paramedics promptly transported him to a local hospital. Regrettably, the man later died from his injuries sustained in the collision.
Witness accounts, as recounted by the Sheriff's Department, indicated that the man had been conversing with the occupants of a vehicle that was initially stationary. In a sudden turn of events, the vehicle then was reported to have purposefully accelerated to hit the man before fleeing the scene.
