As reported by the City of Lewisville, Texas, the parade will feature a procession from Cowan Avenue, taking a journey east on Main Street to Mill Street, before heading north and culminating at the Bill Weaver Arena. In keeping with the town's spirit, the prescribed themes this year are “Western” and “Salute to Veterans,” an acknowledgment of both the traditional heritage and those who have served.
For those interested in participating, adornment is key—every vehicle or float must embrace the themes, requiring at least 50 percent decoration to pass muster. Exceptions to this creative mandate are given to vintage beauties, public safety, and military vehicles, which can join the parade in their original grandeur. Echoing the city’s ethos, commercial entities, when showing off their banners and logos, must still drape their entries with decorations to meet the halfway mark.
