A tragic traffic incident in north Charlotte has claimed the life of a local man on Sunday afternoon, as police confirmed to QC News and WBTV. Michael Kenneth Sampson, age 67, was attempting to cross the 3500 block of Statesville Avenue when a 2021 Jeep Compass, driven by a 32-year-old woman, struck him in a collision that eventually led to his death.
