Starting Monday, Aug. 5, Long Beach residents can begin to register for over 700 activities, as reported by the City of Long Beach. With offerings that span the spectrum from arts and sports to music and fitness, there's something to meet nearly every interest and age group in the community.
Among the highlights for the upcoming fall season, preschoolers can look forward to "Hip Hop Tots" and "Little Music Makers," classes designed to engage young minds through movement and melody. According to the City of Long Beach, these programs aim to not only entertain but also foster early developmental skills. Youth can expand their artistic horizons in "Musical Theater" or refine their physical discipline with "Traditional Karate". Adults aren't left out, with courses ranging from "Ceramics Workshop" to "2 Step and Swing" dance classes, ensuring to quickly fill up as residents eagerly look forward to engaging in these community activities.
For those looking to maintain an active lifestyle, "Aerobics Lite" offers an appealing option for adults, while the 50-plus crowd can enjoy the social and physical benefits of "Senior Line Dancing" or the relaxing stretches of "Gentle Yoga." "Zumba ® Gold" promises a rhythm-filled workout tailored for older adults. These classes are designed to cater not just to the body, but also to the soul, helping to strengthen community ties through shared experience.
As per the City of Long Beach, registration for these classes opens on Aug. 5 and can be completed online through the "LB RecConnect" portal, over the phone, or in person at the Registration Reservations Office.
