On the grounds of the UCF Downtown campus, a woman's night turned harrowing when a man attacked her in the Amelia Street Garage after disembarking a Lynx bus. The ordeal occurred Sunday evening, with the UCF Police Department announcing the arrest of a suspect, Lamarcus Bernard Robinson Jr., as detailed by ClickOrlando.

Police say Robinson Jr., 30, allegedly followed the victim from the bus, under the guise of returning a water bottle she'd left behind. He subsequently grabbed her wrist and coerced her into the stairwell of the parking garage. According to an arrest affidavit, the woman reported that she was sexually battered by the man, as reported by FOX 35 Orlando.

Swift action by law enforcement led to Robinson's apprehension. The survivor provided a "detailed suspect description," which aided the authorities in identifying Robinson quickly. Utilizing databases and with the aid of the Orlando Police Department, he was located at the Orange County Library on Monday and brought into custody by the UCF Police Department, before his transportation to the Orange County Jail.
