Authorities have charged 24-year-old Julian Giovanni Vazquez in connection with a fatal shooting that left a man dead early Sunday in Houston. The incident occurred at 1175 Edgebrook Drive and the charges against Vazquez include murder which were filed in the 209th State District Court, as reported by the City of Houston News
HPD Homicide Division's Sergeant C. LaFour and Detective B. Stephens discovered the victim, whose identity remains unverified, following a call for assistance from emergency personnel at the scene. They found the man unresponsive in the front passenger seat of a car in a parking lot, suffering from gunshot wounds and later pronounced dead.
Vazquez, detained by police at the incident's location, admitted to having a role in the shooting during the investigation. "HPD patrol officers responded to a request for assistance from Houston Fire Department emergency personnel at a parking lot at the above address," indicated the officials talking to the City of Houston News.
Following an admission of his involvement and consultation with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Vazquez saw charges pressed against him and was subsequently held in the Harris County Jail. His booking photo was released along with the news of the arrest. Specific details about the motive behind the shooting or the relationship between Vazquez and the victim have not yet been disclosed to the public.
