Earlier today, the aisles of a north Houston Target became the site of a theft incident when Anthony Samuel, a man identified by the precinct's deputies, allegedly stole merchandise totaling over $284. According to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman's Office, the event took place on July 21, at the retailer located on the 19500 block of the North Freeway.
The constable deputies arrived at the scene following a shoplifting report and discovered that Samuel had ostensibly concealed the goods and left the store without any attempt to pay for them, the suspect was apprehended and the goods were subsequently recovered and returned to the store, which the strict vigilance of Target's security measures and the quick response of law enforcement combined to ensure the swift resolution of this criminal episode.
"Anthony Samuel was arrested and booked in to the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft," Constable Mark Herman stated, with the information being relayed on the official precinct social media channels. Samuel's bond was set at a modest $100.00 out of County Court 13.
