
A man was hospitalized with a gunshot wound following a shooting in Seattle's Chinatown-International District, according to the Seattle Police Department. On the night of July 5, around midnight, officers rushed to the 600 block of South Main Street after receiving reports of gunfire. The police found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived shortly to promptly continue to administer emergency medical treatment initiated by the police officers. The victim was then taken to Harborview Medical Center where he was reported to be in critical condition. The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle, but was later located in Kent by Seattle Police officers. A 31-year-old man was apprehended in relation to the shooting and has been incarcerated at King County Jail.
