
A fatal incident has been reported in Portland as a man lost his life in a single-vehicle crash early this morning. According to a news release by the Portland Police, the tragedy struck at around 12:21 a.m. on I-5 Northbound at the Hayden Island exit.
Portland Police officers from the North Precinct were dispatched to Exit 308, Jantzen Beach, where they discovered the crash site and the deceased driver. For investigation purposes, and ensuring a thorough analysis of the incident, the Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team has been brought in - consequently, the ramp from northbound I-5 to Hayden Island and the opposite direction remain closed, though the lanes on the freeway itself are operational.
