Orange County Sheriff's deputies are searching for individuals connected to a deadly shooting that unfolded in the Rio Pinar neighborhood. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday and resulted in the death of a man, as reported by WESH.
Having been called to Sapphire Lane in the Rio Pinar Lakes community just before 12:15 a.m., deputies discovered a man in his 30s who had suffered gunshot wounds. Despite being transported to a hospital, he later died from his injuries. The family celebration, during which the violence erupted, was happening at the home of Danry Archaga. The merriment was cut short by a confrontation between two guests outside his abode, Archaga explained, with the dispute concluding in gunfire.
Investigators have released a photo of a man they describe as a person of interest in the case and have indicated that there is a second person of interest whose identity is known to them, yet it is not clear if this individual has been taken into custody. The victim has been identified by a witness as Carlos Colindres, 34, a close acquaintance of those at the gathering. "This is really sad, it’s my friend's son. He is only 34 years old. I’m crying for my friend," Archaga stated, as per WESH.
Investigators have not yet revealed the identity of the victim publicly. While details are still unfolding, anyone in possession of information regarding the crime or the individuals of interest is urged to contact Central Florida Crimeline. The service assures anonymity and can be reached at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477), as detailed by WFTV.
