Tragedy struck in Lake County this past weekend when a man was found dead with a gunshot wound inside a burning home. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office and fire crews responded to the scene at around 1 p.m. on Saturday after reports of a house fire on Wood Duck Road in Altoona. Upon dousing the flames, firefighters discovered the body of a 49-year-old man, officials confirmed, as reported by ClickOrlando.
While firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, with no other injuries reported, the startling discovery of an apparent gunshot wound on Gall's body quickly shifted the nature of the incident from a residential fire to a possible crime scene.
