A pedestrian incident on San Antonio's northwest side resulted in a man being hospitalized early this morning. San Antonio police responded to an accident at the intersection of Babcock Road and Medical Drive, where the accident occurred just after midnight, as reported by KENS 5.
According to authorities, the man in his 20s was attempting to cross the street when he was clipped by a sedan which resulted in him colliding into the car's windshield; he was subsequently transported to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition, the sedan's driver was not injured in the course of the event. As described by FOX San Antonio, the police have indicated that there was no suspicion of alcohol influencing the incident and no charges are expected to be brought against the driver who reportedly did not see the man before the collision.
As of now, the San Antonio Police Department has not released the name of the individual struck, nor have further details been given about the circumstances leading to the accident.
