
A man has died following a "physical fight" between two groups in Los Angeles County on Friday evening, KTLA reports. The altercation occurred in the 5800 block of Loveland Street in Bell Gardens, with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies arriving on scene at about 7:45 p.m.
The deputies discovered an unconscious man, who was subsequently transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Sheriff's Department has confirmed that "Investigators learned there was a physical fight between two groups of individuals when the male was discovered unconscious on the ground." The deceased man's identity has not been released, and the exact cause of death remains to be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
Further details of the incident are being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau. According to their report, the Bell Gardens Police Department had first responded to the fight before the homicide investigators took over the case.
