Early morning hours in Pittsburgh's Hill District took a dark turn as authorities were called to the scene of a violent incident. According to the City of Pittsburgh police blotter, a male victim was found with a stab wound in the abdomen, discovered in the parking lot of the 200 block of Devilliers Street just before 1:45 a.m.
Despite the gravity of his injury, the victim was remarkably reticent, not just uncooperative with responding officers about where or how he was wounded he didn't provide any leads that could spur the investigation further. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital where he is reportedly in stable condition, this development suggests a silver lining that his wounds may not be as fatal as initially feared.
As detectives delve into the night’s events, little is known about the perpetrator or the motive behind the attack. The victim's identity has not been released, and the Police Public Information Officer Cara Cruz, has yet to make a formal statement regarding any suspects or leads in this developing investigation.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as their investigation is ongoing. Those who may have witnessed the incident or have relevant knowledge are encouraged to contact the police.
