A Buckhead man suffered multiple gunshot wounds late Friday evening in a parking altercation, according to Atlanta authorities. The 40-year-old was shot after approaching a vehicle parked next to his own outside a local business conglomerate on Pharr Road NE, as reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The incident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. near the intersection of Piedmont Road.
Upon officers responding to the 550 building, the unnamed man was found with gunshot wounds and was declared stable after being taken to the hospital. According to the FOX 5 Atlanta, it was initially believed the victim was confronting another individual breaking into his own vehicle before the narrative was clarified. Atlanta Police further detailed, “approaching the suspect’s vehicle that was parked next to his, occupying the vehicle appeared to be breaking into the victim’s vehicle.” The investigation is ongoing and there has been no additional information regarding the suspected shooter.
