On Wednesday, a man was grazed by a bullet following a drive-by shooting. The incident, which unfolded on the 200 block of South San Eduardo Avenue near Castroville Road was responded to by police just around 10:40 p.m., as reported by KENS 5.
The circumstances, as reconstructed by the authorities, suggest that the victim was spending time with family and friends when a red sedan approached the gathering. What followed, was a heated argument between a man who emerged from the vehicle, and the victim, which tragically culminated in gunfire. The shooter then reentered the sedan, and sped away from the scene, eluding apprehension as of Thursday morning.
The victim, whom police believe was targeted, survived what could have been a lethal encounter, with the bullet only grazing his head. He was swiftly transported to the local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. Details of this affinity for life over death were echoed by FOX San Antonio.
