The Massachusetts State Police are asking for the public's assistance to locate Erik Coelho Dos Santos, a 20-year-old man wanted for murder following a shooting at a party in Northborough that took the life of a teenager. According to Boston 25 News, Dos Santos is the suspect in the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Ygor Correia, who was killed during a birthday celebration on May 12, 2024.
Details about the incident emerge from both the police investigation and neighbors who recall, the evening's events as chaotic. The party, which took place at a Howard Street residence known to host large gatherings, was attended by approximately 300 people. Responding to reports of a firearm being brandished, police were soon met with multiple gunshots at the scene, as per NBC Boston. After the violence subsided, Correia was tragically pronounced dead at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
Correia wasn't the only victim that night; a 17-year-old was also shot, and two others suffered injuries during the mayhem. In the wake of the incident, authorities have arrested three men on firearm-related charges. Dos Santos, however, remains at large, and police are urging anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to come forward. He is described as around 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with brown hair, brown eyes and a light complexion, according to public information disseminated by the authorities.
