
Authorities in McDonough are on the lookout for individuals involved in two separate thefts at local smoke shops, with incidents occurring within weeks of each other. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, on June 23, 2024, a man made away with around $1,500 worth of goods from Lucky Habitz Smoke Shop. The store's security footage captured the suspect leaping over the counter to grab the items before fleeing the scene by kicking open the locked front door.
The second incident involved a break-in at Cannabis Therapy, a retailer of various cannabis-related products. WSBTV reported that on Friday, July 5, two suspects broke into the establishment by smashing a glass door. Security cameras recorded the early morning burglary, though the specific items and their value have not been disclosed to the public. Cannabis Therapy's social media indicates they stock items such as kratom, CBD, and Delta8, along with various smoking accessories.
In response to the Lucky Habitz incident, McDonough police have asked for any information regarding the theft to be reported by calling detectives at (470) 878-1091. The suspect's actions were caught in broad detail on camera, and police are hoping that someone in the community can assist in his identification.
