
In a chilling incident recently reported by Memphis Police, a man has been accused of a violent robbery involving the use of a Taser on a woman. Jarvis Bailey, 31, has been charged with a series of serious crimes following the May attack. According to WREG, Bailey is facing charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, unlawful possession of a weapon, and two counts of aggravated assault.
The altercation reportedly escalated to a point where Bailey decided to completely and violently incapacitate the victim. Action News 5 revealed that the victim was shocked a harrowing thirteen times in the neck, face, and back with a Taser. The physical restraint and electrical shocks were then followed by a demand for her to transfer over $1,000 from her Cash App to his.
The victim, whose identity has not been widely circulated to respect her privacy, informed officers that she had over $1,000 forcibly taken from her. In a brief investigation following the crime, police identified Jarvis Bailey as the suspect, which eventually led to his arrest. Further details about the circumstances of the altercation and the apprehension of Bailey were not immediately released.
