Early this month in Northeast Memphis, a residence was riddled with bullets in what the Memphis Police Department has defined as an aggravated assault. According to Local Memphis, the attack occurred in the 7100 block of Amstel Cove around 1:45 a.m. on July 6. Analogous statements from FOX13 Memphis reveal that people were inside the targeted home during the onslaught, yet, by some grace, emerged uninjured.
The Memphis Police Department was quick to respond, and their investigation quickly included video surveillance footage. It presented two suspects emerging from a dark-colored SUV to decisively open fire on the residence. While no suspects have yet to be apprehended, the authorities are fervently calling upon anyone with information to come forward. "No arrests have been made at this time, but this is still an ongoing investigation," as reported by WREG.
MPD has shared the relevant video surveillance in a bid to bolster community involvement—its grainy frames capture the suspects' vehicle and their heinous actions. They are hoping the visibility will draw leads that can finally bring some semblance of justice for the rattled residents and the community at large. Anonymous tips, MPD emphasizes, can be securely placed with Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH, potentially aiding in an urgent closure to this case.
