A violent early morning incident in Milford has left one man with severe injuries following a stabbing yesterday. According to WHDH, at around 4 a.m., Milford police were dispatched to Purchase Street after receiving numerous distress calls. The emergency personnel located the man on the ground, notably bleeding from an apparent laceration.
Following the discovery, the man, whose identity has not yet been made public, was airlifted to a Worcester hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition by the evening hours, the police further detailed. In the quietude of the morning, the specter of violence carved its tale, leaving residents and authorities grappling with the aftermath and an ongoing investigation, as no suspects have been publicly identified yet.
Adding more context to the day's events, Boston 25 News reported that the stabbing prompted the police to seal off a part of Purchase Street with yellow tape to secure the scene. A neighbor described being jolted awake by a woman's desperate cries for help, indicating a chaotic scene that unfolded just moments before the police's arrival.
One resident, Lisa Capece, recounted the harrowing ordeal, "I saw a bunch of cops walking around and I don’t know, there was neighbors outside watching and I really don’t know what happened but it was pretty scary," she described during an interview with Boston 25 News. As investigators focus on the back of a house in the vicinity, details remain scarce, and the community holds its breath for answers. The investigation is currently ongoing, as the story continues to develop.
