Morrison County Health and Human Services (MCHHS) is on the hunt for experts to bolster community resources aimed at strengthening families. Funded by the Sauer Family Foundation, the initiative presents a call for a facilitator to explore and evaluate Family Resource Centers in Minnesota's Region 5. The grantees, which include the counties of Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd, and Wadena, emphasize the program's goal of cultivating strong family relationships to promote the welfare of children and families and ward off maltreatment. This clarion for a knowledgeable facilitator or agency runs from September 2024 through July 2025.
Slated to operate under the auspices of the Region 5 Children's Mental Health and Adult Mental Health Initiatives, the selected consultant will take a critical look at the support systems available and identify methods to empower families. The potential candidates need to showcase not just expertise but also an affinity for developing tools families can leverage to thrive and care for one another. Details outlining this solicitation were released on the Morrison County website, in a public notice on July 19th.
The community assessment facilitator will be tasked with a comprehensive analysis, including but not limited to gauging needs and fostering the growth of community support infrastructures. It's a pursuit that recognizes the complex interplay between mental health and the societal frameworks we inhabit. The ultimate aim is to forge spaces where children and their guardians can access the tools they need to prosper and to prevent scenarios of neglect and abuse before they arise.
Interested parties have until the afternoon of August 2, 2024, at precisely 4:30 p.m., to submit their qualifications to Nathan Bertram, MCHHS Director. The request for qualifications necessitates a candidate to detail their approach to unraveling and addressing the community's needs. This project is a stepping stone towards long-term sustainability in family support and mental health services within the heartland of Minnesota.
