According to an official statement released by MPD on their website, the carjacking occurred last Friday, where a victim found themselves at gunpoint with a rifle and was compelled under that grave threat to relinquish their vehicle to a group of criminals on the 1000 block of Half Street, Southeast; while details remain sparse, the authorities have not yet indicated that any suspects have been identified or that apprehension is imminent. The incident was captured at 2:04 a.m.
