The crash occurred just after 2:30 a.m., prompting emergency services to rush to the scene. Neighbor Latosha Williams, sharing her account, mentioned, "The girl was actually taken to the hospital. The one guy was in handcuffs and he was crying and screaming. I guess that was his brother. And then the other guy, they actually had to get the Jaws of Life to get him out of the car," as reported by WTAE.
While the severity of the injuries sustained remains unconfirmed, dispatchers with Allegheny County 911 corroborated the occurrence of multiple medical transports from the crash site. Concurrently, distinct echoes of an earlier urgency had manifested, characterized by a report of gunshots in proximity to the incident, a detail shared by Williams as well.
