As parched throats and dry faucets loom over a local military installation, officials are adjusting their services to meet the operational challenges posed by a planned water outage. The disruption, scheduled for Friday, July 12, compels a temporary shake-up in the operation of facilities across the base. For those looking to get a workout, throw a bowling ball, or enjoy a movie, the Fitness Center, Ten Bowling Centre, and Movie Reel will still welcome patrons, albeit with modified hours. As confirmed on Friday by the MWR Fort Worth, the Fitness Center will open from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM and the Movie Reel will lift its curtains at 5:30 PM.

However, those with the small ones hoping to dip their feet into the pool or requiring childcare services during this interruption, are out of luck. The Aquatic Center will remain closed down for the day. The Child Development Center and School Age Care will also shutter, leaving parents to make alternative arrangements. Meanwhile, enrichment seekers and hobbyists will have to pause as the Library, Auto Skills shop, and Community Recreation areas will not operate during the outage.

The base has not been forthcoming with the specifics behind the scheduled water cut-off but it reassures that this measure is a necessary step in maintaining or upgrading the water infrastructure. Liberty, the communal hub for unwinding and socializing, will open its doors from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, ensuring that not all social life is dry during the parched period.

While the water valves turn, the Ten Bowling Center's pins will still be all set to be knocked down from 2:30 PM to 9:00 PM, promising some strike-worthy diversion. Such altered operating schedules reflect an attempt at maintaining morale and providing avenues for leisure amidst the temporary drought.
