Fort Worth residents have a new reason to feel secure, as the latest Fort Worth Police station is set to open its doors on the city’s south side. The grand opening of the facility located at 3501 W. Risinger Road is scheduled for Monday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to noon, as reported by the City of Fort Worth.
In a move indicative of growth and progress, the new complex will replace the aging precincts at 3128 W. Bolt St. and 7650 McCart Ave, the facility, holds promise as an upgraded epicenter of safety operations for the community. Overflow parking for the event is anticipated and has been made available at the Vivian J. Lincoln Library, located at 8829 McCart Ave.
This significant development in community infrastructure is facilitated by a $20 million investment from the 2018 Bond Program with further backing from the Crime Control & Prevention District. The new building boasts of a design that features a welcoming entry plaza and lobby, and a notable community room, alongside necessary spaces like a roll call room and office space for departmental utilization.
