
A deadly shooting has left one man dead and two others injured in Northeast Minneapolis, as revealed in a statement by Police Chief Brian O’Hara; according to the report, the 2nd Precinct Officers responded to the 2500 block of Central Ave NE on the night of July 14th after receiving reports of gunfire around 9:45 pm, discovering one adult male with critical injuries who later passed away at Hennepin Healthcare Hospital.
A subsequent discovery by police, near 4th St SE/Central Ave, involved an adult male and female inside a vehicle, each suffering from gunshot wounds deemed non-life-threatening they were located in the vicinity of the shooting, had non-life-threatening injuries and received prompt medical attention at Hennepin Healthcare Hospital, as the preliminary findings suggest there was a conflict among people acquainted with one another, shots were discharged, and the three were hit.
Officers at the scene gathered evidence and combed through the nearby areas, seeking information that could shed light on the event's cause, while forensic scientists from the Minneapolis Police Forensic Division were tasked with processing the scene a thorough examination of the area was conducted by officers after the incident, looking for any details that could explain the tragic outcome.
