
South Boston became the scene of a shooting incident last night, leaving one person injured. According to WCVB, police were called to Dalessio Court around 9:45 p.m. after reports of gunshots. Upon their arrival, officers discovered the victim had already left the scene, driving themselves to seek medical aid at a local hospital.
The investigation by the Boston Police led to the discovery of ballistic evidence at the scene of the incident, near an apartment building on Dalessio Court. However, as of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. Police located an SUV shrouded in crime scene tape outside Tufts Medical Center, situated about a mile from the shooting location. WHDH reports that the victim's condition is still not clear at this time.
Further developments include confirmation by police that the victim's injuries, sustained in the shooting, are non-life-threatening.
