Orange County Government is set to connect with the local business sphere during its Contracting Academy, according to an announcement for the July 12 event. Aimed at equipping business owners and contractors with knowledge on securing a slice of the $700 million in county contracts, the occasion promises a morning of insight and wisdom, as detailed by Orange County.
The free half-day virtual workshops will focus on exposing participants to the intricacies of Orange County's procurement process while pitching tips on how one might navigate their path through the competitive bidding landscape in efforts to embrace the area's underrepresented business owners, according to a press release hosted on Orange County's official newsroom.
While in-person attendance has hit full capacity, online access remains open. The UF/IFAS Extension Orange County, stationed at 6021 S. Conway Road in Orlando, is the hub for this educational confluence set to run from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. For those interested, the virtual sessions are made available to enable broader access and participation.
